Center for Rule of Ocean Law Studies (Ocean Law Center) has integrated Shanghai Jiao Tong University Think-Tank Research Base & Shanghai Social Science Innovation Research Base--Shanghai Jiao Tong University on National Marine Strategy and Rights, SJTU-Center for Rule of Ocean Law Studies, SJTU-Center for Polar and Deep Ocean Development.
The Ocean Law Center provides an institutional home for campus-wide collaboration among departments, programs, institutes, faculty and students at SJTU engaged in work pertaining to the Law of the Sea. The Center’s mission is to enhance the understanding of the Law of the Sea through scholarly research, educate new generations of researchers, and provide policy consultancy to relevant government agencies.
Ocean Law Center invites applications to fill two-three post-doctoral fellowship positions for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applications are welcomed from scholars who have received their PhD degree or who expect to complete their degree by June 30, 2017. The post-doctoral fellowships support research on the international law of the sea.
Requirements:
1.To meet the requirements for post-doctoral of the KoGuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
2.Passion in scientific research, ocean law and policy.
3.Good team work spirit and ability of innovation.
4.Good command of Chinese and English writing and speaking.
Responsibilities:
1.Actively engage in research works and publish high-quality research papers.
2.Take part in academic activities of Ocean Law Center.
3.Assist to complete other academic research of Ocean Law Center.
Compensation:
1.In accordance with regulations regarding SJTU post-doctors (http://postd.sjtu.edu.cn/index.htm).
2.Be entitled to Shanghai Jiao Tong University post-doctoral housing subsidy or apply apartment of post-doctoral.
3.Extra incentive subsidy is provided according to the research output.
4.Assist to complete settle formalities according to Shanghai post-doctoral management policy.
5.Ocean Law Center offers office space, access to the library help with finding accommodation.
