The 2016 Summer Seminar of Theory and Practice of Marine Law
Ⅰ.Overview
This Summer Seminar of Theory and Practice of Marine Law is sponsored by Rule of Ocean Law Research Center and Polar and Deep Ocean Development Center which are both belong to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It aims to build a first-class international and opening domestic summer seminar which concentrates on marine law study. This Summer Seminar intends to set up a platform of marine law and policy development research for many young scholars, outstanding students, so that it can achieve the purpose of strengthening inter-school learning exchanges, sharing the high-quality education resources and cultivating some outstanding marine professionals.
Ⅱ. Date and Venue
Date: From July 17th to July 30th, 2016
Venue: Xuhui Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Ⅲ.Course Contents and Practical Activities
We will invite some internationally renowned marine law experts to give lectures on marine law and policy for our students, and arrange some local practice activities according to the need, for example, ocean related government agencies and legal institutions.
The subjects of courses:
1.Professor Aldo Chircop: "The Arctic in the Law of the Sea and International Maritime Law"
2.Professor Anastasia Telesetsky: "Sustaining a Blue Economy: Contemporary Legal Developments in Ocean Resource Management."
IV. Eligibility
Postgraduate students, Ph.D. students and senior undergraduate students who interested in oceans law and policy study are all welcomed to participate in this Summer Seminar. Registration deadline is June 24, 2016.

Ⅵ. Fees
1. Non-refundable application fee: RMB 100
2. Tuition: RMB 1000. The amount is inclusive of fees for tuition and course materials.
Notice: Application fee and tuition will be paid on site.

P.S. We do not offer transportation and meals expenses for scholarship recipients.

暑期国际研修班简介
“海洋法理论与实践”暑期国际研修班由上海交通大学海洋法治研究中心和上海交通大学极地与深海发展战略研究中心主办，以建设成为国际化、开放式的国内一流海洋法主题暑期研修班为目标，旨在为诸多青年学者、优秀学生提供良好的海洋法律与政策发展研究平台，实现加强校际学习交流、共享优质教育资源、培养优秀海洋专业人才的目的。
开课时间和地点
时间：2016年7月17日-7月30日
地点：上海交通大学徐汇校区凯原法学院
教学内容与社会实践
本次暑期研修班将邀请国际知名海洋法学专家就海洋法律相关课程进行讲授（全程英文授课），并根据实践需要安排学员赴中国极地研究中心、博物馆、相关涉海政府部门及研究机构进行实地考察。
课程主题：
Aldo Chircop教授：“北极与海洋法”
Anastasia Telesetsky教授：“蓝色经济的可持续发展：当代海洋资源管理法制的发展”
招生对象及报名时间
对海洋法律与政策研究、海洋环境和海洋资源保护等方面有浓厚的学习兴趣，以及关注中国海洋事业发展的青年学者、优秀学生（本科及以上学历）均可作为本次暑期研修班的招生对象。本次暑期班预计招生人数为50人。
报名截止时间为2016年6月24日。

学员收费
凡报名参加本次“海洋法理论与实践”暑期国际研修班的学员需缴纳报名费100元；非学生学员需缴纳学杂费1000元（不包含住宿费），学生学员需缴纳学杂费500元（不包含住宿费）。
注：暑期班报名费及学杂费均为开班时现场缴费。
奖学金
学员如有需要，可申请免除学杂费(只适用于在校学生)，但仍需缴纳报名费。请下载填写《2016“海洋法理
论与实践”暑期研修班奖学金申请表》，并发送至邮箱：oceanlaw@sjtu.edu.cn
注：奖学金不包括往返交通费及餐饮费，需学员自己承担。
奖学金申请表将由相关负责人员审核，我们将以邮件方式告知您申请结果。
