Shanghai University Think-Tank, Shanghai Social Science Innovation Research Base “Research Base on National Marine Strategy and Rights” to accept the visiting scholars
In order to cultivate college teachers, make better use of the base teaching and scientific research resources, strengthen connections with the brother schools, and promote academic exchanges, the base accepts visiting scholars to participate in scientific research work all the year round.
I. Receiving Objects
Receiving objects must be on-the-job teachers who have been engaging in teaching and research work for more than 2 years in the general higher education institutions, and in accordance with the following requirements:
1. Strong sense of professionalism and excellent professional ethics, solid basic theory and professional knowledge, strong teaching and scientific research ability.
2. Doctorate degree.
3. Research fields shall be similar with ours; applicants should have some publications in our research fields.
4. No more than 45 years old.
II. Working Methods and Requirements
1. Visiting scholars mainly participate in the research work of this base. The work period is usually 1 year.
2. Visiting scholars should submit at least one academic paper or research report every semester, and give an academic report to present the results of this job. After the work, visiting scholars should write their annual summaries, including research, teaching, academic achievements and other aspects, then fill in the “Academic Performance Assessment Form”. The supervisors write down their comments on visiting scholar's paper and performance during the working period. The ones who complete work plans as scheduled and qualify in the assessment, will be issued the “Domestic Visiting Scholars Certificate”.
